I currently work at a cannabis magazine, called DOPE Magazine. I make spreads, inspired by stories by people who support the plant, in order to dispel stereotypes. I love it.
Human Form and Function
Before I figured out that if I wasn't in a creative field I'd go completely insane, I was a nursing major. I love science and learning about the human body but realized after a few years that I liked making the anatomical flow charts more than committing them to memory. So this project is essentially a throw back to the days I was forced to reinterpret massive amounts of text into a visual form so I could attempt to learn it.
I made a fold up study guide of the human nervous system. As you can see, I created icons for almost every element of it. I think this will help more visual people such as myself, to retain information.
Employment Outcomes for IEAA
The International Education Association of Australia needed to gain funding. They had studies conducted that concluded that it is indeed worth becoming an international student at one of Australia's universities. I took their data and interpreted into an infographic for print and web. Following their brand guidelines, this is the result.
DePaul's MFA Animation look book needed a serious upgrade. The current one looks boring and dull. As a fan of creating animations myself, I decided to upgrade it to something that looks fun! Note I did not contribute to the illustrations or photography in this particular piece. I did the layout and art direction.
DePaul has a lot going on design, art and music wise. Yet other than bulletin boards that must students ignore, there isn't a place for student's to find out this information. That's why my group and I came up with the idea to create an app that could allow students to easily access this information.

I love science and science magazines. I keep them, and make collages out of the beautiful imagery. I thought this book was very appropriate for this particular piece.
Personnel Innovations Inc
This recruting agency needed a major overhaul on their brand identity that would separate them from dry, non personal identities associated with some recruiting agencies. I wanted to create a logo with distinct colors and a contemporary form. The client themselves specifically asked for an arrow shape of which I incorporated. I decided to use a bright orange and a light blue to contrast each other making the brand look brighter with a gradient to make the viewers eye wander upwards.
They also needed a website. Since a lot of recruiting agencies sites seem to have a ton of information of which most of the users don’t need I decided to make it as simple as possible. I made it a scroll down site with the basic information about the agency and a form for users to fill out if they’re interested in using the services. There’s also a very simple about us page and contact page.
So why shouldn't they get to enjoy themseleves as much as I do them?

A Brief History of Time
I'm a huge fan of learning about science. Unfortunately though, most books that relay this information tend to look very cheesy. Big digital looking text and a huge picture of the scientist who wrote it. A Brief History in Time is a classic that is aimed towards everyday readers, I decided it should look just as intelligent as it is.
I once gained a freelance gig creating flowers for an online obituary. They needed help with direction for a B2B print product.
I hate the lack of sunlight in the winter, so I made these. I think the juxtaposition of the very simple geometric gradients against the very decorative and craft driven frames adds more interest to the images. It's also representative of how much I really value my vitamin D rich friend.
